Retreat overview
Reclaiming Your Spark is a restorative weekend retreat that helps caregivers from all professions & backgrounds connect or reconnect with creativity as a source of insight, self-discovery, and personal growth. Through guided expressive arts experiences, reflection, movement, and meaningful connection, you'll explore how creative practice can support resilience, self-awareness, and meaningful change.
No artistic experience is needed. Rather than focusing on artistic skill or creating a perfect product, this retreat emphasizes curiosity, experimentation, and authentic expression. Participants of all identities are welcome to engage in a supportive environment designed to foster reflection, connection, and renewal.
Whether you're feeling stuck, burned out, or simply looking for space to connect or reconnect with yourself, this retreat offers an opportunity to slow down, listen inwardly, and rediscover what inspires you.
Space is limited. Register by September 17th.
Why Participate?
This Retreat May Be Especially Meaningful If You...
Why "Expressive Art"?
You don't need to be artistic to benefit from creative practice.
Research suggests that creative expression can support emotional awareness, flexible thinking, self-reflection, and nervous system regulation. Sometimes the things we're trying to understand, process, or imagine are difficult to access through thinking alone. Creative practices can offer another pathway—one that engages intuition, emotion, imagination, and embodied experience.
Rather than focusing on artistic skill or technique, this retreat uses accessible art experiences as tools for exploration and discovery. The goal isn't to create a masterpiece. The goal is to create space for curiosity, insight, reflection, and new possibilities.

An Anti-Perfectionist Approach
This retreat is grounded in the belief that growth doesn't happen because we push harder—it often happens when we create enough safety and space to become curious.
For one weekend, you can set aside the pressure to perform, achieve, produce, or have everything figured out. Instead, you'll be invited to slow down, pay attention, and explore what emerges when there is no "right way" to participate.
You don't need to be more creative, more self-aware, or more accomplished before you arrive. You are welcome exactly as you are.
The Research
A growing body of research across neuroscience, psychology, expressive arts, and mind-body practices suggests that creative expression can support nervous system regulation, emotional processing, resilience, psychological flexibility, and overall well-being. Studies in expressive arts, mindfulness, generative somatics, and interpersonal neurobiology continue to demonstrate the value of creativity, embodiment, reflection, and connection in fostering insight, healing, and personal growth.
My facilitation approach integrates expressive arts, generative somatics, experiential learning, reflective practice, and community-centered facilitation to create a supportive environment where participants can explore, discover, and reconnect with themselves through creative process.
